Open Studio Sale
Sat 5th + Sun 6th December 2026
11am – 5pm
Unit 74 Regent Studios, 8 Andrews Rd, London E8 4QN
Free entry · no booking
For one weekend before Christmas, we'll move the pottery wheels aside and open our studio by Regent's Canal to everyone.
Our members will set out tables with their ceramics. You'll find cups and plates for everyday use alongside vases and sculptural pieces, with a variety of forms, colours and techniques.
Some members will be selling their work for the first time. You're welcome to drop in, meet the makers and have a look around the studio. We'll have mulled wine too.

I've only been working with clay for a couple of years now, and as I explore the material I'm drawn to the physical side of making pottery.

My pieces combine simple shapes with tactile surfaces. I currently tend to work with understated colours and finishes, allowing the form and texture to give each piece its character.
We all work with the same material, but come from different backgrounds and experiences.
Most of us make pottery simply for the joy of it, and our work reflects that variety.

Right now, I'm exploring illustration and movement, creating pieces that reveal something new as you turn them in your hand. I'm also interested in playing with positive and negative space, exploring how what's missing can be just as expressive as what's there.

I handcraft my pieces from clay, and for that reason they are all distinctly unique.

I create functional ceramics, mainly vases and tableware, combining raw, textured surfaces with clean geometric forms.

My work explores how texture, weight and proportion shape our experience of everyday objects. Each piece is made in small batches, embracing the natural variations that make it unique.

Influences include Leach, Michael Cardew and Ray Finch of Winchcombe Pottery, alongside Lucie Rie, Worcester Porcelain, medieval pottery and 17th-century British slipware. Harry Bennett, the potter behind Wavertree Pottery, comes from Worcestershire in the West Midlands. His work reflects his love of landscape, with pieces that aim to feel as though they belong to the earth.
Mizuyo

My inspiration comes from a wide range of archaeological artefacts, everyday objects and forms found in nature.

In my work, I try to find beauty in functional forms while exploring materials and the traditions of pottery making.

What draws me to pottery is the balance between carefully crafting a piece and letting the unpredictability of fire hold the final surprise.

It has helped me notice things that I would have walked past before, be it the shape of a leaf or the geometry of the cup I drink my tea in. I hope my pieces bring the same pause and joy to ordinary moments.
Selena
Sat & Sun
Making ceramics has become my creative outlet from my day job.

I hope each piece I create brings a smile of joy through the use of colour.
Sophie

My ceramic work embraces the ritual of repetitive mark making, balanced with playful and intentional distortions of the form.

The final outcome of each piece develops organically throughout the making process. I like to mark, carve and distort each piece intuitively as I go, meaning no two pieces are ever the same.
Tiffany

I create tactile, contemporary ceramics rooted in an understanding of home shaped by my Asian heritage, where shared meals were closely tied to gathering, care and connection.

Through clay, I explore these ideas in pieces for the table and home, with close attention to material, use and form. Made to be held and lived with, they reflect a belief that the objects around us can become part of how home is felt.
