about classes

& drop-in sessions

  • All available classes are on our website; on the "Classes" page.

You can find a course either on the calendar displayed at the top of the page with its starting date highlighted with an image or in the list of upcoming course below it.

For more details click the images either on the calendar or in the list.

New courses will be listed on this page as we plan more, please check this page once in a while or be on our mailing list to be updated.

  • If you have not attended our class but have some experience in pottery, you will first need to arrange a half-an-hour induction on your first drop-in session. Please email us to arrange this before booking a session to confirm our availability.

We will go through the health and safety procedures we follow in the studio, where you can find the tools and materials to work with and also the cleaning/recycling process that we follow.

Please review our Drop-in Session Handbook found here before the visit.

  • We do not provide one-to-one lessons. If your group is made up of more than 6 people we are happy to consider possibilities. Do get in touch with us providing the occasion of the group activity, ie fun, team building etc, the number of the group members and anything you’d like to ask us.

If you are an experienced potter you can sign up to our drop-in sessions after having been introduced to our studio. You will have access to the studio where we have all the tools and materials for you to use; and you can practice and improve your skills independently and at your own pace (no tuition included).

Alternatively you are welcome to join one of our classes where tuition is provided.

  • We offer our Kintsugi workshop during the summer season. This is influenced by the characteristics of urushi, a natural material used in the traditional Japanese lacquer craft, which requires specific humidity and temperature conditions.

As a result, the workshop's timing is determined by the climate conditions, usually occurring between May/June and September.

The workshop is typically spread out over a few months and focuses on repairing minor damages like hairline cracks, small chips, and clean cracks (without any missing pieces) with the maximum length of 20cm in length.

  • If it's difficult for you to collect your work, we can arrange shipping for you at your expense.

about other things

  • We offer gift vouchers in both digital and physical formats.

Digital gift certificate is available on <Booking> page.

Click <View products / packages> and pick one for your friend.
When purchasing a digital gift certificate, enter your email address. Both the receipt and the digital file will be sent to you. This way, you can forward the digital file to your intended recipient at your convenience.

If you’d like a physical coupon, visit <Shop> page.

  • We do not rent out our kiln nor fire pieces made outside the studio. It is very important for us to know what goes in the kiln and to make sure they are properly made, so that we know our kilns and other work made by our members are safe.
